The Classic Cheeseburger has always been a hit. It has a beef patty that is juicy, American cheese that is melted, and traditional toppings. Great for a summer barbecue or any other casual meal!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of American cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices of tomato
  • 4 pickle slices
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Ketchup and mustard for condiments

Instructions:

Preheat grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat

Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties

Season with salt and pepper

Place burger patties on the grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer for your desired doneness

During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese to each patty and cover to melt

While burgers are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster

Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a burger patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, some diced onions, and a pickle slice

Spread ketchup and mustard on the top bun, then place it on top of the assembled ingredients

Serve hot with your favorite side dishes
